Sachin joins Cintana Education with over 2 decades of experience in Business Operations, Corporate Finance, Strategy and Mergers and Acquisitions with last 13 years focused on higher education.
Previously, at Laureate Education India, Sachin was instrumental in the growth of the Laureate institutions, UPES Dehradun and Pearl Academy. He worked at the institutional leadership level prior to taking over as CFO for Laureate Education India. Preceding his time at Cintana, Sachin was President of Bennett University, a greenfield venture in higher education sponsored by India’s largest media house, The Times of India Group. During his stint at Bennett University, Sachin transformed the institution by driving brand, enrollments, student outcomes and overall financial and operating metrics resulting in the development of India’s fastest growing and financially viable greenfield venture in Higher Education.
Sachin played an intricate role as a member of the initial team responsible for the creation of education focused verticals at India’s Ernst and Young Mergers and Acquisitions practice. During his tenure at E&Y, Sachin lead the financial due diligence and advisory teams to successfully complete some of the largest transactions in India’s Education Sector. Post his time at E&Y, Sachin lead the M&A and investor relations divisions at Educomp Solutions, one of India’s largest publicly listed education companies. At Educomp, he was responsible for some of the high valued divestitures which included stake sales in Eurokids, IndiaCan and Gateforum.
Sachin has authored multiple articles in leading Indian newspapers with an emphasis on public policy and the future of Higher Education and he currently sits on various industry bodies focusing on Higher Education in India.
Sachin is based out of New Delhi, India and is a Chartered Accountant by profession.
