During his more than 11 years of academic experience, Dr. Alberto Moreno Melgarejo has served as Academic Director, Vice Dean, Head of Business and Tourism, Head of Education and Humanities and International Agreements Coordinator at Universidad Europea de Madrid (Spain). In his role, he contributed to the development and operation of various graduate and postgraduate programs, leading faculty and implementing international academic practices. He was also a Visiting Professor at Kendall College in Chicago (USA), and he is currently serving as Academic Secondment at Universidad Internacional del Ecuador (UIDE).
Dr. Melgarejo’s academic accomplishments are broad including innovation awards, national teaching and research accreditations, leading European Union funded research projects, supervising PhD theses and programmatic accreditations.
Dr. Alberto Moreno Melgarejo holds postgraduate degrees from English, French, Swedish, Belgium and Spanish universities related to History, Pedagogy, Cultural and Tourism Management with experience in international organizations such as the UNWTO. He also holds a European Ph.D. in Tourism with research periods at NYU (USA) and UQAM (Canada).
