Diego brings over 20 years of operations, product and project management, marketing and sales experience in the Higher Education, Hospitality and Tourism; Health and Wellness industries. He is very skilled at improving under performing business units by improving and reinventing processes which cause positive financial outcomes and significantly improve customer satisfaction. Big picture visionary, innovative, results and success driven with an innate sense for what works in operations. Diego has a special eye to identify technical opportunities to improve new digital capabilities, lead innovation and process automation to improve efficiencies, decision making and customer experience. Skilled in identifying cause of issues and an innovative problem solver.
During his nine-year tenure at Laureate, he held many different leadership roles in which he managed many initiatives directly impacting students, faculty and staff. Participated on the launch and deployment of the Content Repository, Faculty Development Portals, and operational support. He led different best practice initiatives and evolved these into communities of practice. He also led the creation and implementation of the branding, editorial and creative services based in Honduras and productized the Laureate Live initiatives and events. During his last years at Laureate, he restructured and led the Course Development team, Registration Operations and the tech support teams providing 24/7/365 support services to students and faculty in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
He has an M.B.A from Southern Cross University in Australia, a Bachelor of Business from Southern Cross University and undergraduate degrees in Marketing and Hotel Management from San Ignacio de Loyola in Peru. He is also Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified and has an Executive Project Management Certification from Florida Atlantic University.
